Finding a Truth
It’s Sunday. It’s been snowing here in Colorado. A really nice spring snow. It was near 70 yesterday morning, and by nightfall, the snow was flyin’… This morning it looked like 6 or more inches on the back yard picnic table..
Really wet snow, tho.
I’ve been reading a lot. I find myself reaching for a truth, something that I believe to be prevalent in my beliefs, in my values, but is not necessarily worn on my sleeve… With my ongoing connection to nature, and the balance therein, I’ve come to know what I can only declare as the thoughts of God. I see it in the alpine forests, as a relationship between every living thing, displaying respect and understanding to a greater balance. I even feel it in what might be deemed as inanimate objects, such as the rocks and the streams.
There is something within this witnessed balance, within the benevolence that is obvious. I believe that our true path, as individuals, and as societies, is placed squarely within the truth of nature, within the balance of life. Regardless of our religious backgrounds, race, upbringing or societal fortune, our future success is completely dependent on a renewed understanding and appreciation of nature’s way.
Within such are lessons of family, individuality, honesty, truth, freedom, sacrifice, community… and all of this wrapped in the understanding of balance, of place within the greater scheme of life.
This truth I feel that I am reaching for, is burgeoning from my soul as I have come to understand my own feelings of what I have learned in nature’s way, in what I have witnessed in the woods, by the streams, on the lone mountain top, for the past 25 years. I believe that the thoughts of God are messaged within the whispers in the forest, and that there is a message there for us to hear, for us to act upon… We must seek to rebalance ourselves, our religion, our values, and our truths in nature’s way – or potentially perish…
I will strive to do my part, to bring my insights and understanding to others, to help turn the tide by peaceful and constructive means… I hope that you too can seek your own silence, find the truth, and realize the path of true life, as I have…
